The Lucky Horseshoe Line is a large part of The Ranch Collection which is a classic, American collection inspired by the western culture of cowboys, horses, and the spirit of the great wild west; a collection I hold close to my heart for many reasons.
I began riding horses when I was 3 years old in the suburbs outside Philadelphia, near Devon – the home of the famous Devon Horseshow. My younger sister quickly followed the same path, and a huge part of our childhood was spent at the barn where we boarded our two beloved horses: Harley and Belle. We would muck out stalls, groom other horses, and help wherever we could to make it possible to afford to include these two beautiful creatures in our family.
I headed off to college to study metals and jewelry at the Savannah College of Art & Design, and I joined the equestrian team my freshman year. During my very first design classes I felt the inspiration of the ranch life that was such a huge part of my heart and soul.
Before every ride, as an equestrian, you have to groom and clean your horse before gearing them up. This includes cleaning out the horseshoe on each foot- a simple, dirty task of the ranch life- but a task with such a special symbol. The horseshoe is a symbol of good luck. You must hang it with the ends pointing upwards for good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by.
The Lucky Horseshoe line consists of sterling silver, copper, gold filled, and 14k gold lucky horse bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces- all available for customization. Our most popular piece is the Posey Horseshoe Ring which is a customized hand stamped lucky talisman horseshoe ring with your word of choice.
In love & light,
